The golfer, who’s from Florida, had previously played with different Florida-based tour pros, but did not have much success because the lessons were only a few minutes long. Johnson actually took up golf, changed his name and moved to North Palm Beach, Florida, which helped him get more time on the driving range. Once he was ready to step into the professional world of golfing, he obtained a number of his first-team All-American fame in the U.S. Open, where he finished second behind Mike Weir. Dustin Johnson is now the only golfer in the history of the game to have his first career top-five finish, plus his second career top-ten finish, in precisely the exact same season as another all-time great, Bobby Jones.
