“I’m a Good Golf Instructor,” you may say. Or”I was a Golf Pro for 13 years and I perfected my match.” Or even”I’ve had a great deal of great golf training and reading material, and I have a bunch of friends who play golf.” All these things make you feel good and proud of your self, but what about your understanding of the subject matter or field? Have you got pride in what you do?
When you take pride in what you do you automatically increase your ability to your levels of excellence. That is because pride produces positive outcomes. A Great Golf Instructor can produce favorable results in you by providing you with the knowledge of how to develop and implement a terrific golf swing.
Let Us look at a Good Golf Instructor in a different light. Say you are at a driving range and are having difficulty with your backswing. You turn to your Good Golf Instructor for Support. What do you believe he or she would do?
First, they would probably tell you that you have trouble creating a straight back swing since your arm strength is insufficient. This Good Golf Instruction will probably suggest that you brace yourself up with a shoulder strap. Next, Good Golf Instruction would tell you that your grip is wrong. (gripped in your fingers tips) If he or she told you this, Great Golf Instruction would then describe to you that the right way to grip the club is to put your thumb on the shaft as opposed to on top of it. Last, Great Golf Instruction would probably tell you that you have an unnatural swing.
Does this imply that the Great Golf Instructor is incorrect? Absolutely not. He or she’s telling you what’s been tried and tested through the years. This does not mean that you have been doing it incorrectly all these years. Truth be told, thousands upon thousands of professional golfers are in the golf industry for over thirty-40 decades. There’s absolutely not any reason you ought to be excluded from this experience.
What’s missing in your game though? It’s your mental conditioning. You might be a fantastic golfer with terrific golf instruction but if you’ve been swinging incorrectly for years, you haven’t improved much. You will need to return to the drawing board and do some serious work.
You can’t expect your handicaps to improve simply because you took lessons from a quality facility. If the Great Golf Instructionary taught you at an expensive golf academy, you should expect a greater than average lesson rate. If the facility was rated by its customers, you would probably be more inclined to pay more for that type of instruction. If you go to a lousy facility, you won’t get nearly as good of a lesson rate.
If you are contemplating hiring a Great Golf Instructor, ask about their background. How many years of golf instruction have they had? How many pupils have they trained? If they haven’t had many pupils in a while, that may be a negative signal. Request references and ask to see photographs of the last students. You want to be sure you are receiving the best possible golf instruction.
Another thing that you should look at is the lesson rate. Lesson rates can fluctuate a lot depending upon the day of the week and even if it is a popular day of the week, there will always be people paying less than ideal prices. Paying more for a Great Golf Instructor doesn’t mean that you will get better training. If the facility is continually struggling to fill positions, that could indicate the instructors gross salary is not very high and they get fewer students per class.
Other factors you should look at include how long the golf academy has been around. If it’s been around for a few decades, it is more likely to be an excellent place to learn from. The golf academy may have had trouble in the past but it probably has a great staff and fantastic instructors. This is a massive indicator of a great institution and one that will help you become a better golfer in the future.
The last thing you should look at is if the golf facility offers private lessons. If it only provides a few different swing methods, instructors will not have to travel and will have access to other amazing instructors from their daily travels to other golf academies nearby. This allows them to teach more students per lesson and get better feedback from students about how they’re doing. You will have more chances to get better advice and greater expectations when you have access to great teachers instead of the average instructor.
