“I’m a Good Golf Instructor,” you may say. Or”I was a Golf Pro for 13 years and I chased my match.” Or even”I’ve had a lot of fantastic golf training and reading material, and I have a bunch of friends who play golf.” These things make you feel good and proud of yourself, but what about your understanding of the subject matter or field? Do you have pride in what you do?
When you enjoy what you do you automatically raise your capacity to your levels of excellence. That is because pride produces positive results. A Great Golf Instructor can create favorable results in you by supplying you with the knowledge of how to develop and execute a great golf swing.
Let Us look at a Good Golf Instructor in a different light. Say you are in a driving range and are having trouble with your backswing. You turn to your Good Golf Instructor for Support. What do you think he or she would do?
First, they would likely tell you that you have difficulty making a straight back swing since your arm strength is insufficient. This Good Golf Instruction will most likely suggest that you brace yourself up with a shoulder strap. Next, Great Golf Instruction would tell you that your grip is incorrect. (gripped in your fingers tips) If he or she told you this, Great Golf Education would then describe to you that the right way to grip the club is to put your thumb on the shaft rather than on top of it. Last, Great Golf Education would probably tell you that you have an unnatural swing.
Does this mean that the Great Golf Instructor is incorrect? Absolutely not. He or she is telling you what has been tried and tested over the years. This doesn’t mean that you have been doing it incorrectly all these years. The fact is, thousands upon thousands of professional golfers are in the golf industry for more than thirty-40 decades. There is no reason that you should be excluded from this experience.
What is missing in your game though? It is your mental conditioning. You might be a fantastic golfer with great golf instruction but if you have been swinging incorrectly for years, you have not improved much. You will need to go back to the drawing board and do some serious work.
You can not expect your handicaps to improve just because you took classes from a quality facility. If the Great Golf Instructionary taught you in an expensive golf academy, you should expect a greater than average lesson rate. If the facility was rated by its customers, you would probably be more inclined to pay more for that sort of instruction. If you visit a lousy facility, you won’t get nearly as good of a lesson speed.
If you are considering hiring a Great Golf Instructor, ask about their background. How many years of golfing education have they had? How many students have they trained? If they haven’t had many students in a while, that may be a negative signal. Request references and ask to see photos of their last students. You want to be sure you are receiving the best possible golf education.
Another thing you should look at is the lesson speed. Lesson rates can fluctuate a lot depending on the day of the week and even if it is a popular day of the week, there will always be people paying less than perfect prices. Paying more for a Good Golf Instructor doesn’t mean that you will get better training. If the facility is constantly struggling to fill positions, that could indicate the instructors gross salary isn’t very high and they get fewer pupils per class.
Other factors you should look at include how long the golf academy has been around. If it’s been around for a couple of years, it is more likely to be an excellent place to learn from. The golf academy may have had trouble in the past but it probably has a fantastic staff and fantastic instructors. This is a massive indicator of a great institution and one that will help you develop into a better golfer in the future.
The last thing you need to look at is if the golf facility offers private lessons. If it only provides a few different swing techniques, instructors won’t need to travel and will have access to other amazing instructors from their everyday travels to other golf academies nearby. This allows them to teach more students per lesson and get better feedback from students about how they are doing. You will have more chances to get better guidance and greater expectations whenever you have access to great teachers rather than the average instructor.
